Due to forecasted snows, the City of Gretna declares a snow emergency in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday, January 11th to 8 p.m. Friday, January 12th. During this time, do not park any motor vehicles, trailers or other obstructions on city streets. This makes it easier for City personnel to use equipment to clear paths for safer travel.
If you must travel, use caution around snow plowing equipment and personnel.
For more information regarding City Ordinance and Snow Emergencies, see City Code Chapter 4, Section 4-216.
** Please note, dependent on weather conditions the snow emergency may be extended.
