Sarpy County has provided an update on the ongoing roadway improvement projects in the area. To minimize traffic impacts whenever possible, they provided a work schedule to help you plan ahead.
Completed Work
- Cary Street - 234th St to 225th St
- 216th Street & Cornhusker Road
Nearly Completed Work:
- Cornhusker - 222nd Street to 216th Street: Roadway is open with minor work to complete the project anticipated in Spring ‘26 with minimal disruptions to traffic
- Giles Road - 225th Street to 216th Street: Roadway is open with minor work to complete the project anticipated in Spring ‘26 with minimal disruptions to traffic
2026:
- 216th Street and Harrison Street: Grading, drainage and concrete pavement improvements began this past summer. Work will continue to extend concrete pavements west to approximately 234th St
- 222nd Street/Centennial Road/225th Street: Grading, drainage and concrete pavement improvements will begin in the Spring
2027:
- 225th Street and Cary Street: Grading, drainage and concrete pavement improvements will begin in the Spring
Traffic Accommodations During Construction:
- Detour routes will be marked clearly to redirect traffic due to roadway closures
- Flagging personnel will be stationed when necessary to guide vehicles through construction areas and maintain traffic flow
- Access to residential properties and emergency services will be preserved through the duration of the construction
- For the safety of everyone, please obey all posted signage and reduce distractions while driving in work zones
